Assassination 2015

Movie Rating:

Plot

Taking place during the Japanese occupation of Korea in the 1930’s, the story swings from Seoul to Shanghai as Yeom, an agent of the Korean provisional government is ordered to assemble a triad of assassins. Their mission is to kill the head of the Japanese occupiers, then strike another blow for freedom by wasting a wealthy collaborator.

Thoughts

The action scenes add quite a nice touch to the movie, especially in the two assassination scenes. Jun is convincing as a precision sniper and Ha Jung-Woo is the calm, cool anti-hero and their chemistry really works out. Lee Jung-Jae does well as the officer in charge of hiring the trio of assassins while Cho Jin-Woo and Choi Deok-Moon bring some fun in their roles. Overall, it's a well packed action thriller.
